Build communities with Habitat Tucson. Habitat Tucson's 2nd annual Ride For Home is raising critical dollars for Habitat's building projects and raising awareness for Habitat's work in Tucson. Register Online or become a supporter today! All proceeds from Team Ride for Home will go towards building & repairing homes in our community!

Habitat Tucson is proud to be one of the approved charities for the 32nd El Tour de Tucson—one of the biggest bicycle road races in the U.S.

November 12:

“Ride for Home” Silent Auction Preview and bidding begin at the Habitat Office, 3501 N. Mountain Ave. , 9am-5pm weekdays.  See a partial list below of the many unusual items to bid upon in person.   Visit the office to see the full selection of items,   Bid and buy  to help build homes and change lives of Tucson families.  Bids accepted only at the office through 5pm Tuesday, November 18.   

November 16:

Team Ride 7am Meeting at Trader Joe’s, Campbell/River, north parking lot.  Contact Jo at 742-2882 if you will be joining us. 

November 17:

Team Party 5-7pm at Habitat Office, 3501 N. Mountain Ave.    Stationary bicycles, wine and appetizers will be available for all riders and their support team members.  Join us for the Ride for Home Team Photo and a chance to enter your bids for the Silent Auction, which concludes the next day, November 18.  Please RSVP to 326-1217.    

November 19:

How it works:


1.Habitat Tucson is one of the official beneficiaries of El Tour De Tucson. Rider can choose to ride in the main El Tour de Tucson event or indoor El Tour.

2. Register Online at HabitatTucson.org. Or print an application below and mail it to Habitat Tucson.

3. Habitat Tucson will send you a team packet with information.

4. Train for your ride and homebuild with team Ride for Home.

5. Ride in El Tour de Tucson or do the Indoor Ride

Through all of your great fundraising efforts, Habitat was able to raise over $14,000!  This funding can help over 15 families through our Preserve-A-Home services!

For Indoor Riders: Indoor El Tour begins one week prior to the main event and may be ridden anywhere on the planet on any stationary bike or on Ride Day at the Finish Line. More information here. 

For Outdoor Riders: Your rider number will be finalized at El Tour Bicycle, Fitness & Health Expo at the Tucson Convention Center, November 20-22, 2014.  Receive your rider number, timing chip, packet, event t-shirt and Event Manual. ID required for pick-up. Check www.perimeterbicycling.com for more event details and to ensure your name and information are correct on El Tour Page; scroll to “Registered Cyclists”.  Please email changes to: nancyr@habitattucson.org.  Visit the frequently asked questions page for the latest news.
